Why are our games so popular?
What's more important: winning or having fun? Yes, we really think it's possible to have your cake and eat it too; we've got games for people who are focused on winning, and for others who just want to have great conversations. All our games are about having fun and making people laugh – and although the competitive aspect might mean a lot to many players, having a good time together is just as important!
Our games are simple and easy to get started with,without complicated rules and long explanations. In addition to all that, we do our best to write really interesting, entertaining questions, so that you not only have fun but maybe learn something as well.
From idea to shelf
It all starts with us coming up with an idea for a game. The idea is then tested and refined, and once the framework is in place, content development, source review, and game design creation begin. We do all of this ourselves. And with the help of skilled employees, experience and customer knowledge, we create games that can be played over and over again at the dinner table, parties or on the sofa at home. Once the games are produced and ready, we send them out to all our customers around the UK, to large parts of Europe and many other countries all over the world. All games go through our warehouse in Arvika, Sweden, and are processed by one of us here at Hygge Games.
Sustainability and responsibility
Sustainability is a matter of course for us. That's why we're very careful with our choice of suppliers and the material and have chosen to produce our games in an eco-factory. This means that our products are plastic-free, compostable or recyclable, and the factory is circular when it comes to energy, heat and water. We are also involved in various social projects, and support everything from sports to museums, as well as various educational programmes. Most of our involvement is locally rooted, but also extends to projects outside Sweden.
Locally made
All products are produced in the EU to minimise transport distance, and to have better control over the entire chain of production. The environmental benefits are great, while we can ensure that the working environment is good and fair. We want everyone who is part of our production to feel joy and commitment– all the way from concept to manufacturing and transport.
Our story
Since the founding of our company, we've aimed to create products that could make parties, dinners and evenings at home a little more fun. We've always enjoyed playing games ourselves, but sometimes found it difficult and cumbersome to learn the rules and gameplay. The fruits of our brainstorming are casual, entertaining games that are loved by many – even people who don't usually like quiz games. The secret is probably that regardless of whether or not winning is important to you, you still have a good time together – dare we say a great time!
